Delhi Book Fair 2018
25 August to 2 September 2018
The Federation of Indian Publishers, in collaboration with the India Trade Promotion Organisation, is organising the 24th Delhi Book Fair from 25 August to 2 September 2018 in the Hall No. 7 D, E and FGH at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. It is an event keenly awaited by book lovers, authors, scholars, intellectuals and librarians.
The Delhi Book Fair has come to be recognised as the biggest book event of India and has also established its credit worthiness in the international book world. It is because of this that many foreign book publishers also participate in this Fair.
While this Fair covers a series of important subjects concerning the book industry, it also makes its contribution in the fields of literacy, improvement in reading habit and choice of latest multi-lingual books on a variety of topics under one roof.
More than 200 publishers from across the country are expected to participate in the Fair and showcase all kinds of books, especially children books, books for adults and neo- literates, books on computers and IT, besides fiction and non-fiction.
We are writing this to request you to kindly have this letter displayed at prominent places in the school in order to create awareness among the teachers, librarians and students about the Delhi Book Fair. You are also requested to advise the students that they should keep themselves free during this period and visit the Fair along with their parents/friends.
Being in a related career, we look forward to your active participation. This will also be a unique opportunity for your librarian to browse through books and select them out of a large array of books published all over India under one roof in a congenial atmosphere.
The Fair timings are from 10 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. on all days. Entry to the Fair is free for all after showing your Identity Card.
The Federation is pleased to invite you to visit the Fair with your faculty members. If you let us know about your visit to the Fair in advance, we shall arrange to receive you and also take you round the Fair.
